As a Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Composer, Musical Director, Arranger, Producer, Conductor and Performer, Cheche Alara has worked with some of the biggest names in the world of music.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cheche has lived most of his life in Los Angeles.

He moved to the U.S. after receiving a talent scholarship from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he obtained a B.A. in Arranging/Orchestration. This was followed by a talent scholarship from the University of Southern California, where Cheche obtained his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies. 

As a Music Producer, he has worked with Natalia Lafourcade one her “Musas Vol. 1” album (2017 Latin Grammy winner - Best Folk Album), and “Musas Vol. 2” album (2018 Latin Grammy Winner - Best Folk Album), Annie Lennox, Camila Cabello, Claudia Brant (2019 Grammy winner - Best Latin Pop Album), Il Volo, Thalia, Robbie Williams, Estopa, Pepe Aguilar, Angela Aguilar, Natalia Jimenez, and many others.

Cheche has been the Music Producer and Music Director for the Grammy Premiere Ceremony since 2017, Music Director, Music Director and Music Consultant for Norman Lear Live! All in the Family and The Jeffersons /Good Times and All in the Family (ABC), the 2019 “Earth’s Call Concert”, and Executive Music Producer/Music Director for Jordan Smith's "'Tis The Season" PBS Special, featuring David Foster. He was also Music Producer/Music Director for six editions of the Latin Grammy Person of the Year concert galas (please see bellow).

Cheche was the Music Producer for the iconic Karol G Latin Medley at Coachella, as well as Karol’s performance at the Spotify Music Awards. Cheche also composed and produced the song “Alegria” featuring Karol G for Paramount Pictures “Rumble”.

Cheche was the Music Producer for Maluma on his 11:11 Tour.

He has recorded and played keyboards for Barbra Streisand, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Kelly Clarkson feat. John Legend, Andrea Bocelli, Natalie Cole, Carole King, Natalia Lafourcade, Jennifer Lopez, Patti LaBelle, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, David Foster, Santana, Mya, Destiny’s Child, Eric Benét, Playing for Change, Laura Pausini, Robyn, Carlos Vives, Patti Austin, and many others. He has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, under Conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

As a member of different House Bands, he has backed up Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, Alicia Keys, The Blacked Eyed Peas, Babyface, Jill Scott, Jessica Simpson, Gloria Gaynor, among others.

As a Lyricist, Cheche adapted the songs of the Disney hit album and movie “High School Musical” to Spanish, as well as coaching the cast from the movie.

His TV Performances include The Grammys, Latin Grammys, American Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, MTV Music Awards, The Tonight Show, The David Letterman Show, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Alma Awards, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Billboard Awards, The Essence Awards, Music in High Places - and many others.

He has given Master Classes at Berklee College of Music, USC, Musicians Institute, Fermata School of Music (Mexico) and was a Faculty Member of Musicians Institute.

Cheche is en elected Trustee of the National Board of the Recording Academy, Los Angeles Chapter (Grammys), representing the Los Angeles Chapter. He is also serving his fifth term as an elected Governor of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Recording Academy. He also serves on the Board for Imagen Foundation.

Cheche spends most of his time in his Los Angeles recording studio.

When not making music, you’ll find Cheche spending time with his family, sea kayaking, cycling, going to the L.A. Opera, listening to a lot of NPR , hiking, going to the beach, watching Monty Python and always trying to find crazy places to eat and try new foods.
